Our standard AMB systems come complete, including the controller, all functional parts and accessories, so you receive one integrated system rather than components to assemble.

Cost-efficient standard AMB product lines – adapted to your machine when needed

Our AMB systems are built as standard product lines, giving you proven performance at a lower cost and with simpler integration. The lines cover demanding operating conditions. This includes harsh and high-temperature environments where conventional bearing technologies can limit performance and machine life. Where an application needs more than a standard system, we adapt the design to your machine and its operating conditions. The result is higher efficiency, greater reliability and longer-lasting machinery.

Our cost-efficient controllers and standard AMB lines, established supply chain, deep relationships with leading global motor manufacturers reduce the cost, complexity and integration barriers that have historically limited AMB adoption at scale. The result is a commercially viable path to serial production for applications where it was not possible before.

Built on over 35 years of high-speed machinery and high-speed bearing research

Our roots trace back over three decades to pioneering work on high-speed machinery and active magnetic bearings at LUT University in Finland. That heritage has grown into deep engineering expertise and proven experience in solving demanding application challenges and a strong intellectual property portfolio that continues to advance our technology today.

State-of-the-art controller technology

The controller is the heart of every active magnetic bearing system. SpinDrive’s Magma® controller platform delivers the precision, performance and reliability required for demanding AMB applications. Magma is delivered as part of a complete standard AMB system, including all functional parts and accessories. From the cost-efficient Magma X100 to the powerful Magma X800, the platform supports applications from a few kW to over 3 MW across a wide range of OEM machinery.
